Many updates [Jul. 24th, 2009|10:08 am]
Jorge is back and doing overall well. My health is back to normal after my stroke couple months ago. Actually, well enough we are expecting our 4th child now. Who would have ever imagined one day that I would have goals of producing the Brady bunch. Life has its funny turns.

Our house is georgous, I love it and I'm constantly doing home projects on it- Not to mention we have a beautiful front garden I created for it. I got a job (temporary till the birth of our 4th). I work now as a political activist for the Care organization concentrating on women and children's rights. At least if I have to leave the children, I feel I'm doing a good purpose.

How is everyone else in lj land?

Moving to Baltimore [Apr. 8th, 2009|01:14 pm]
I put my notice into my landlord and got till the end of May. Now this considered, I need a place asap. I'm also looking for a job (my degree was BA of Science with concentration in Criminal Justice and Forensics). I also have descent secretarial skills and can multi task well. Any suggestions? I'm trying to land a job before my husband comes back from deployment at the end of November. We are both going civilian or aka at least attempting if we can secure a descent enough salary between the two of us. Military is always our backup plan.

My son's Blood disease [Mar. 21st, 2009|08:04 am]
I have several clotting disease- among them are: Protein S, Factor V Leiden and MTHFR. My son had been in Pedatrics ICU last week. Apparantly, when I had been on antibotics 1/2 my pregnancy due to my low immune system, it affected his badly. Apparantly, in utero- it was stripping his good flora from his intestines. This resulted, that the first germ introduced back from my daughter (school aged) had devestating results. His immune system essentially crashed. They had to test him for menigitis and spinal tapped my than 4 week old. Luckiy he didn't have that. He wound up having something I pronounce as C-def. He had been on 14 bags of antibotics in total during his almost 5 1/2 day stay. It was a hard visit and they tested for my genetic blood conditions. Not all the tests have come back yet but he tested positive for MTFHR. MTFHR can cause blood clots, anxiety, depression, stroke, etc. I'm devestated and now the rest of my children are required immediate testing. We are going to the kid's hemotolgist next Tuesday @ 2pm. We will need to establish a plan of attack. I pray he doesn't have more clotting disorders.

keep us in your prayers [Feb. 19th, 2009|06:59 am]
My husbands last day here was hell. Our newborn had constipation and we noticed him looking a bit lethargic in nature. I called our ped doctor and she stated to tryl newborn supposotories. We did, no success- next trip to the ER at Montgomery General. We went, his temp was normal and they assisted him in a bowel movement with a lot of manipulation. Than, the crazy doctor went into noticing how he was a bit jaundice. Let me back track a little bit- They induced me at 38weeks and made a huge mistake. In reality, he wound up being only 36 weeks as a preemie. So, the levels were not out of range but he was convinced something still wasn't to par. He ordtered a full septis workup. They took so much blood from him, it was ridiculous. Than, the crazy fucking doctor wanted to a spinal tap on my preemie newborn. WTF? I immediately called my doctor and she told me not too. His
vitals were normal and the blood work came back negative. He still wanted to keep my son for observation, at which point we said hell to the no and checked him out. I enjoyed the last 5 hours with my husband before he left for base this morning and off to Iraq next week. I'm going to desperately miss him. He was an amazing force the the whole time he was here - from the birth process to holding him to assisting in every vital aspect. I have the best husband in the whole world and I'll be forever grateful. I can look at my son everyday and see a mini Latin version of Jorge. No one will ever keep us apart.

Labor lasted only a total of 3 hours and 18 minutes. Carolynn accompinied me along with my labor coach Janna, my husband and mother in law. My baby shower [Feb. 8th, 2009|08:47 am]
My baby shower was incredible followed up by the fact my husband was here to participate with me. I only have 3 days to go before touchdown. It was hosted by my friend Nicole Hambleton who also has a daughter that is Austin's half sister from both of our ex. Funny where friendships can be found!

My cake was incredibly creative- It was five blocks each representing a Letter in Logan's name. Each cake was a different flavor- Lime, Lemon, vanilla, red velvet and orange. Very yummy indeed!

Staci aka DJ Dragoness during the babyfood eating contest.

Redecorating can be expensive [Feb. 1st, 2009|07:46 pm]
I went to Michael's today with the desire to redecorate for my daughters room. I spent $60 in stenciling like it was nothing. However on a high note, her room will look beyond adorable for the baby shower on Saturday. I won't mind children playing in it with it getting done. I started tonight and let me tell you its a lot of work! I'll have pics to post following this tomorrow.

Germany not far away [Jan. 28th, 2009|02:03 pm]
Turns out my husband will be leaving sooner and returning sooner. He still gets to be there for the birth of our son. Which means going to be stationed in Germany is a closer reality! It is going to be a really big change for us, but one which I believe is a positive change. Did I mention really yummy food as well? Also I have family there.
